- Email address when you create an account
- API request logs (endpoint, timestamp, credit cost) — no content is stored
- IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention
- Payment transaction ID when you purchase credits — card details are handled by our payment processor
2. How We Use It
- To operate your account and process API requests
- To track and deduct credits
- To prevent abuse
- To send transactional emails (receipts, password reset)
- To comply with legal obligations
3. Third Parties
We use third-party services for authentication, payments, and infrastructure. We do not sell your data. Data is processed within the EU where possible.
4. Retention
- Account data — until you delete your account
- Request logs — 90 days
- Payment records — 7 years (legal requirement)
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Email hello@transcriptapi.io — we respond within 30 days.
6. Right of Withdrawal (EU)
If you are an EU consumer, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving any reason (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU).
This right expires early if you have already used any of the purchased credits, as the service will have been partially performed with your explicit consent. Unused credits remain eligible for a full refund within the 14-day window.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, contact us at hello@transcriptapi.io with your order details. Refunds are processed within 14 days of approval via the original payment method.
7. Cookies
We use one session cookie for authentication. No tracking or advertising cookies.
